Teh Tarik vs Engine Oil
The initiative known as Teh Tarik vs Engine Oil was organized as an interactive talk show to deliver an educational insight between complex engineering and the local community. Hosted at LA KOPI and broadcast live on YouTube for a wider audience the event featured seventeen members from the Monash University Malaysia racing team. Key members including the team captain and the lead driver explained the technical journey of preparing for the Shell Eco marathon. They spoke in detail about how they had to adapt their creative designs to meet the very strict efficiency and safety criteria required for the competition.
The event transitioned into a more personal phase after the main discussion concluded with a formal gift presentation to thank the guests for their time. This was followed by an open networking session where the audience and the committee members could speak directly with the Monash team. These one-on-one conversations allowed for a deeper exchange of ideas and gave the participants a rare chance to ask questions about the reality of engineering and innovation. By combining a casual setting with professional insights, the talk show successfully made technical knowledge feel accessible to everyone
